Let's get started!

Naturally, the product line of choice would be in line with the used substrate. For example, you may choose TERRA for (natural) soil, COCO for coco, HYDRO for rockwool and AQUA for hydroponics.

2. What is the flowering time of your cultivation?

The flowering time refers to the period it takes for a plant to develop ripe fruits, flowers or buds, measured from the moment it transitions from the vegetative (growth) phase to the flowering phase. This transition can be indicated by onset of the short day period (less than 12 hours of light per day) for short-day plants (or vice versa for long-day plants). Check the information on the seed or cutting packaging or look up the specific flowering time for your species or strain online. The number of weeks in the personalised growth schedule will be adjusted accordingly.

3. What is your tank size?

Specify the volume of nutrient solution you want to prepare. This can be less than your tank size if you don’t fill it fully. The dosage rates in the personalised growth schedule will be adjusted for the specified volume.

4. How many days is the duration of vegetative phase I?

During Vegetative Phase I the plant develops in volume. Define the length of this phase from rooting up to roughly 3 weeks (or 20 days).

5. How do you define your water quality?

Electrical conductivity is a measure of the amount of dissolved salts in a solution, based on how easily it conducts electricity. Soft water has an EC of ≤0.2 mS/cm; regular water has an EC around 0.4 mS/cm; hard water has EC’s of ≥0.6 mS/cm. Depending on the situation, you may be advised to use CalMag in order to increase the water EC or to dilute with R.O. water in order to decrease the water EC. You can look up the EC of tap water of your region online or measure it using an EC meter. If in doubt, assume an EC of 0.4 mS/cm.

6. Preferred schedule type?

Depending on the grow rate of your plants and their fertilizer requirements, the schedule type could be customized. ‘Normal feeding’ is suitable for most circumstances.
