CANNA @ NASS & Boardmasters Festival
What’s that you ask? Where can you indulge in this cake we speak of? Well that’s right party people, now you really can have your cake and eat it and CANNA are serving up a slice for you. We are super proud to announce that this summer you will be able to find CANNA as an official partner of two of our favourite UK festivals: Boardmasters and NASS.
NASS
Slap bang in the middle of summer, from the 8th to the 10th of July, you can find us at NASS (near Bristol), the UK’s largest actions sports and music festival. The usual peace and tranquillity of the beautiful Somerset surroundings is temporarily shattered, while we all get down to the best electronic beats. This is all alongside the UK’s biggest actions sports contests, like the iBMXff World Championships and the NASS Pro Park skateboard championships.
For those of you who left your whistles and glowsticks back in the early 1990's, fear not! There is all sorts of other things going on for you to get your teeth into. Not only are there the professional BMX & Skate competitions for you to check out, there is also one of the best vert ramps in Europe, with some of the biggest names you can imagine, like BMX legend Mat Hoffman. There are also areas dedicated to the best street artists in Europe so you can check out some jaw dropping Street Art. Then there are the white knuckle rides, various shisha lounges, retail stalls and even an on-site barbers. There is truly something for everyone here!
Last but not least there is of course the music side of things too! With Headliners such as Jurassic 5, ANDY C and Knife Party to choose from, followed up with artists such as Stormzy, Fidlar, Roni Size & Krust, General Levy and DJ Zinc; make sure you’ve packed your screw-face and trigger fingers. Aspiring artists among you can also head down to various events like the MC and DJ workshop, where you can pick up some tips and tricks from the pro's right there and then!

Boardmasters
“I could not help concluding this man had the most supreme pleasure while he was driven so fast and so smoothly by the sea” - Captain James Cook. This was the first written documentation of the surfers from Hawaii as written by the explorer in 1778. Surfing has come a long way since then, both figuratively and literally. Nowadays, every summer since 1981, Cornwall plays host to this age old tradition and hosts an international surf contest whilst throwing the best party imaginable.
In glorious Cornish settings from the 10th to the 14th of August, an event like no other unfolds itself out along the beautiful shorelines of Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Set amongst some of Europe’s finest and most picturesque coastline, this weekend will be an epic combination of sun, sand, sea, surf and sound.
Watergate Bay also plays host to the main music arena. With acts such as James bay, Deadmau5, Primal Scream, Chase & Status, Kaiser Chiefs, Roots Manuva and Maximo Park, there is something for everyone to enjoy, while kicking back during the heat of the English summer in a stunning coastal location, with the best sunsets the mind can imagine.
A quick shuttle bus ride from the campsite will find you slap bang in the middle of Fistral beach. Here is where you will find some of the world’s top surfers displaying their understanding of the ocean through the UK’s largest international surfing contest, which is accredited by the World Surf League. If that all sounds like too much then of course feel free to lie on the beach and chill out to the sound of the waves. Don't forget your sun cream!!
Of course, Boardmasters is not only about surfing. For all you action sports fans that prefer land based activity, there's an entire section dedicated to skateboarding and BMX, all taking place on an incredible half pipe. Come and check out the ramp and you will notice a familiar brand adorning the area whilst bringing some CANNA colour to the UK’s best skateboarders and BMX’ers. Seriously people, don't miss out!! Come and chill out in the CANNA Garden!
It's a close call between the two festivals we know. Forget the EU referendum; with the sort of events each festival has on offer we know it will be one of the toughest decisions you face this year. Don't worry though, either one you pick we will be ready and waiting for you! In the midst of each festival you will find the spectacularly crafted Garden curated by CANNA for you to come and enjoy some much needed rest and recuperation in.
With the nonstop pounding bass lines and insane action sports all over the place, we decided to slow things down a little bit for you. Get yourself away from the hustle and bustle and unwind in our little spot of paradise created just for you guys! Rest your weary legs in our beautiful surroundings and take some time to reflect on the weekends musings. We can't wait to see you there, and of course willingly answer any CANNA or growing related questions for you, should you still have the energy for that sort of thing.
